changes/addition to the Groww app.

Round 2 with CEO

Round 3 with SPM

Round 4 - With CTO, also a Co-founder

Round 1 - With Co-founder (45 mins)

  1. Asked about my experience, I worked on a P2P camera rental startup at that time. Problems faced in business and how did you solve them? Why did it shut down?
  2. Guesstimate number of emails sent on Gmail everyday.
  3. Frequently used products, figure out the pain points for users. Suggest features for it, and explain the reasons.
  4. Swiggy is observing a drop in average revenue per user, what might be the reason for it?

Round 2 - With CEO (45 mins)

  1. Favourite product (I chose LinkedIn) and how do you improve it?
  2. Guesstimate the number of people giving an interview in the world at that very moment.
  3. How would you design Jarvis? (Iron man’s AI)
  4. Case study round (on my startup experience) which ended with deciding success metrics, prioritisation and discussing the impact of changes made.

Round 3 - With SPM (60 mins)

This was more of a behavioural round, maybe to figure out if I’d be fun to work with and fit the company culture.

  1. Why Product? How did you prepare for the role?
  2. Questions on product, SQL and abacus (I had mentioned in my CV)
  3. My strengths and weaknesses. Are you an optimist/pessimist, atheist/believer? Do you drink/smoke? And more such..
  4. Say if you had a startup idea and you have 100k users onboarded, would you still continue working for Groww?

Round 4 - With CTO, also a Co-founder (15 mins)

About my investment, finance and tech knowledge. Suggested tips on what to learn in the last semester remaining.

My advice - Use as many products as possible. Be curious and keep asking the right questions, plus train yourself in a structured thinking mindset.
